Step through our doors into a series of magnificent and opulent spaces, or seek out a quiet corner by the roaring fire. Relax and soak up the grandeur of this medieval fortress, dating back 700 years.
The Castle sleeps up to 18 guests in ten majestic bedrooms. A further 22 guests can be accommodated in three beautifully appointed cottages within the grounds. There are also options for our younger guests in the way of cots and pull out beds.
We host private dining experiences for up to 40 guests, and receptions for up to 60 guests.
Killochan Castle is exclusively yours for celebrations, weddings, country sports and corporate events. With superb access to a selection of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses.

Killochan Castle was made for exploring, with its nooks and crannies and ancient stories, you’ll chance upon amazing secrets and hidden doorways.
The rich history of the castle is felt everywhere you look, from the gothic entrance hall and original stone staircase, to the fairytale Turret and Cathcart of Carleton coat of arms.
There is much to explore both indoors and out. Set in 143 acres of breathtaking Ayrshire countryside, on the banks of the River Girvan with spectacular views of the coastline and Ailsa Craig.
