This voluminous bedroom with four poster bed and en-suite bathroom measures in a 6.6m x 3.9m and is complemented by an ample wardrobe and large sash and case window allowing natural light to stream in.

Situated just off the kitchen on the ground floor of the Castle, room three is a cosy single room measuring at 2.8m x 2.6m. The room has been refurbished and redecorated with designer wallpaper and small antique pieces of furniture.

Room 4 (no ensuite)
The room is by far the largest four poster suite in the Castle measuring 6.6m x 6m and has a ceiling height of over 3.5 metres. It boasts its own walk-in wardrobe area and a secret staircase that leads straight into The Great Hall? on the first floor.
The suite is luxuriously decorated with designer wallpaper, antique furniture, wonderful paintings and finished with a remarkable fireplace – the biggest in the Castle!

Room 5 (with ensuite)
This suite has been decorated and refurbished to a very high standard and comes with a spacious en-suite bathroom. Its antique furniture and paintings give the room an ancient charm enhancing this with the secret door that leads onto the second castle turret and the service staircase leading down to the drawing room and onto the lower levels of the castle to the Private Room. A beautifully presented fireplace sits centre of the wall and two large case and sash windows ensure the room is flooded with natural light.
Just off the main staircase is the room number 6. A small cosy room with its own fireplace for those cold winter nights. The room has been refurbished and redecorated with designer wallpaper and a couple of small antique pieces or furniture. It measures 3.6m x 2.4m. Next to this room is a very large and newly refurbished bathroom with the bath and the shower fitted out to the highest standards and in keeping with the castle looks. It measures 4.5m x 2.0m.
Located on the second floor next to bedroom 8 and 9, room 7 is another of our super king rooms with the added benefit of being set as a twin bed room.
This is a boundless room commanding wonderful far-reaching views of the castle grounds and estate. Superbly decorated to a high standard with its own fireplace and writing area complete with antique desk. Room 8 also has a secret door leading to the Private Room, as well as a service staircase in the south turret of the castle, guiding you down to The Great Hall. It measures 6.2 x 5m
Stronghold Of The Cathcarts
There are exceptional traditional features throughout the Castle including the turrets with gun and arrow holes, a dungeon in the basement and a machicolation on the fifth floor directly above the front door from which boiling oil, boiling water or hot sand was dumped on unwanted guests attempting to enter the front door!
Another bedroom with its own fireplace refurbished to a very high standard as are all the bedrooms at the Castle. The bedroom has an added benefit of the north turret, which now acts as a walk-in wardrobe, with spectacular view of the grounds.
Bedroom 10 is a spacious room measuring 4.5m x 4.2m with a super king bed and a ceiling height of over 3 metres. The room boasts a walk-in wardrobe in the old castle turret.
